As the City of Dublin’s police department has modernized and grown, its police headquarters was no longer sufficient to meet department needs. As a regional PSAP, the department also grew its communications services, necessitating a new and expanded Communications Center.
Results of the Renovation
MSA designed a three-story addition and significant renovations to facilitate streamlined operations and flexibility for future growth and changes in policing. The plan was organized around a concept of divisional suites to foster interaction and communication among staff. The layout, transparency, and openness provide relief from what can otherwise be a stressful work environment. The project was completed in phases to allow for the department to continue to operate uniterrupted during construction.
