New Construction

Taft High School Stargel Stadium Athletic Complex

Cincinnati, Ohio

This new stadium is named the “Center of Excellence” for the Cincinnati Public Schools rebuilding program, and is the first of five new H.S. Stadiums for the 40,000 student urban district. This stadium contains a new synthetic turf field striped for football/soccer and a new eight-lane synthetic track. The field house contains locker rooms for home and visiting teams, as well as restrooms for fans and officials. The “Court of Heroes” entry plaza complements the architecture of the new residential developments surrounding the site. The stadium maximizes fan comfort and traffic flow, and is designed so the occupants can quickly exit the site at the completion of events. During CPS’s $1-billion reconstruction program, the stadium will be used by five high schools as their “home field.”
