MSA worked with Dublin on the interior renovation of the Dublin Community Recreation Center, focusing an intensive programming study to identify patterns of use, establish more effective traffic patterns throughout the space, improve patron relations, and to develop a new aesthetic for the Recreation Center. The design process began with creating optimal solutions for replacing the existing check-in desk which is the hub of daily operations as well as the main point of communication with patrons. The resulting smaller and more prominent desk focuses on Dublin Community Center activities and patron relations and is located adjacent to the “membership-required” areas. A casual seating area is designed provides patrons and fitness experts a location to interact. The renovation also included new flooring and new signage to assist in way-finding throughout the facility. The interior now provides a warm, cohesive aesthetic that seamlessly blends with the existing interior elements through color, materials, flooring, and signage.
