Hyde Park Community United Methodist Church is a 2400 member congregation with two historic campuses – the Grace Campus in Hyde Park, and the OTR Community Church Campus in Downtown Cincinnati.
MSA worked with the Congregation to develop a series of interim renovation projects at both the Grace and OTR campuses, with special attention to updating finishes, reorganizing ministry programs, increasing flexibility, and looking at site improvements.
A dual-campus Master Plan was completed which looks at the existing physical plant and property at each campus, and provides a roadmap to assist the congregation in the review of short and long-term expansion for both the Downtown and Grace Campuses.
MSA has developed the design for “Phase One” of the Master Plan, a “Connections Center” that is an extension of the Church’s 90 year mission to serve their immediate community. A large gathering space is designed to allow for multipurpose community gatherings and includes a café as well as indoor playground. A lower level Family Center is developed in conjunction with a full renovation of the original church Refectory to serve as a center for the Church’s Family & Children’s Ministry programs.
