Located on the south-western perimeter of Great American Ball Park, Mr. Red’s Smokehouse serves savory smoked meats such as beef ribs, turkey legs, chicken wings and pulled pork sandwiches along with corn on the cob, macaroni & cheese and creamy coleslaw to ballpark guests craving more than average ballpark fare.
For many games Mr. Reds Smokehouse serves a rotating menu tailored to the coincide with the names and mascots of the opposing teams, such as ‘smoked cardinal’ (St. Louis Cardinals), ‘cub-paw sliders’€™ (Chicago Cubs) and ‘€˜parrot nuggets’€™ (Pittsburgh Pirates).
Inspired by barbecue shacks throughout the country, when smokehouses were made from whatever materials were available, Mr. Red’€™s Smokehouse has been constructed from repurposed and locally-sourced materials such as rough-cut oak barn siding, reused industrial lumber logs and salvaged steel support columns. It keeps that authentic feel with a bar made of polished concrete set on strapped wood barrels and beer kegs on ice in a bath tub salvaged from a renovated Over-The-Rhine building.
Since it sits on the edge of the first base concourse overlooking the Ohio River, fans can enjoy the smoked meats at hightop wooden tables or belly-up to the bar and enjoy a cool breeze and scenic view of the riverfront and Northern Kentucky skyline.
