MSA was selected by the Village of Indian Hill to prepare an analysis of options for the village’s police operations. Currently, the Indian Hill Rangers are located in an historic, colonial-style building constructed in 1955, which they share with the city administration offices. Although the village has grown over time, the facility has seen no significant alterations or additions since its original construction.
The Rangers are in need of expanded facilities to accommodate services that have grown significantly over the years, including investigations, property and evidence, and patrol related functions. The current department consists of eighteen sworn officers and four civilian personnel.
MSA analyzed the village’€™s current facilities and operations and assessed future needs based on anticipated growth in law enforcement services and operations. A facilities plan indicating projected needs in five, ten and fifteen years was produced along with cost/benefits matrices allowing the Village to make informed decisions about current projects as well as future planning. The planning process reviewed a number of options for implementation including a range of successive minor renovations, extensive additions and renovations and construction of a new, freestanding facility
