Following a lengthy mapping and site evaluation process, MSA helped the City of Monroe select a site for a new fire station. The intent in building this station is to not only improve primary response times in the eastern portion of the service area, but to improve secondary or backup response times. The new station will be constructed on a site in an industrial park with easy access to both State Route 63 and Interstate 75. The building is meant to resemble other City buildings while creating its own unique identity. In plan, all necessary services spaces are organized on a single floor, with sleeping quarters located to minimize travel time to the Apparatus Bays. A basement will be provided for storage and future expansion.
