Addition and Renovation

University of Cincinnati Turner Design Center

Cincinnati, OH

This project involves the renovation of a historic landmark building in the Corryville/Short Vine Business district for use as Studio spaces for the University of Cincinnati College of Design Art Architecture and Planning. In addition to the two studios, the project includes retail space, gallery space, and two loft apartments for short term occupancy by University of Cincinnati visiting professors, dignitaries, and out-of-town guests. The architectural design includes reconstruction that is sensitive to the historic features of the building, and architectural elements and proportioning relating to the existing character of the neighborhood. The scope of work was coordinated with the City of Cincinnati for the redevelopment of the streetscape to provide a consistent feel to the northern end of the Corryville business district.
